In una gradevole giornata domenicale della fine di ottobre, la mia famiglia ed io abbiamo visitato il Colosseo con la Prof. Laura Maria Rizzi, una grande professionista di spessore, colta, preparata, un’abile oratore che ha saputo catturare la curiosità e l’interesse di ognuno di noi, in particolare ha incuriosito e interessato i nostri figli 6 e 8 anni. Sono stati veramente entusiasti e felici al rientro a casa perché Laura ha spiegato ogni dettaglio in modo simpatico e adatto ai bambini della scuola primaria senza mai annoiarli.
Grazie Laura, sei veramente “Piero Angela al femminile”, è un piacere ed un grande onore partecipare alle tue visite guidate. Un grazie speciale anche da Nicola che ha visto per la seconda volta con te il Colosseo, Il tour privato è stato perfetto, ben organizzato e molto piacevole, curato nei minimi dettagli. Ti siamo grati per tutto.
Hello Laura, We are back in the US – a bit jet lagged, since we got in a midnight last night. It was so great to meet you – we loved both days of our tour. Your insight and intelligence really made the history come alive during our tour of Ancient Rome. I also really appreciated that you were able to keep the history interesting and accessible for Paige. And the food! The food and culture tour of Trastavere and the Jewish Ghetto was one of the highlights of our visit. Paige is still dreaming about the Maritozzi! Below is a picture from the food tour. Of course you should feel free to post photos of us on your website. Roscioli was amazing – we really enjoyed or lunch. Thank you for you quick tips on ordering & etiquette – I think we finally managed to order without confusing (or annoying) our waiter.

I don’t even know where to begin! I had an.. amazing day in Rome with a private custom tour from the fabulous Laura Rizzi (referred by trusted friend Brian Solis) who is an expertstory teller/tour guide with her Masters degree in archeology and a CLEAR passion for Roman history! Laura is charming, and delivers an amazing custom experience! I felt very well taken care of and I’d love to say I’ve retained it all ?? BUT… Colleseum, Julius Ceasar, Augustus, virgins, The Parthenon and even Napoleon made their way in! Laura knows her history! I learned so much! Thank you Laura! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Thank you so much Laura for such a great Roman experience.Mixing ancient, modern, and classic sites in Rome. Everything was perfect. She also spoke perfect English (Since my niece and nephew speak only English). Roman history can sometimes be overwhelming but Laura made everything very easy to follow and exciting. Laura thank you once again I am sure my niece and nephew will remember and cherish this for many years to come. We can’t wail for the next tour!

Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di visitare il Colosseo ed i Fori Imperiali con la guida di Laura il 21 giugno 2021. E’ un tour che mi sento di consigliare vivamente parchè la professionalità di Laura è tale da rendere accattivante, piacevole e facilmente comprensibile a chiunque il contenuto delle sue illustrazioni rese ancor più vive dalla sua profonda conoscenza artistica e storica. L’amore che Laura mette nel suo lavoro è evidente ed ha saputo coinvolgerci totalmente nelle tre ore della visita. Un grazie sentito anche dai nostri ospiti, molto soddisfatti per il programma personalizzato e per il “tocco di cortesia” iniziale. Arrivederci presto per qualche altra scoperta.

My husband and I are back from Italy – a whole day now, but I didn’t want too much time to pass before thanking you immensely for forwarding Laura’s name. She was fabulous! We were very impressed. I know I am speaking for my husband as well when I say I now have a good understanding of the major players and areas of the Forum. Even better, I have an excellent base for further study.Laura provided detailed maps – I love maps – she answered every one of our questions, and put us on to a book that illustrated a kind of “before and after” representation of the structures. We tracked that down because it really made the bricks and stones come to life.

Thank you so much for the wonderful, exciting, and educational 3 days of Rome tours that you planned for us! From our first communication back in January of 2023 until our actual vacation in October of 2023, you provided us with exceptional ideas and advice for our trip and helped us to plan a great itinerary. You always responded promptly and were very open and honest about what we should expect. We so appreciate the time and effort that you put into obtaining special tickets for the Colosseum “Underground” and the “Skip-the-Line” access to all of the amazing sites. Each tour was an unforgettable experience enhanced by your knowledge and expertise in archeology, art history, and museums. You were so well prepared for each tour, knowing exactly what order to see the sites and where the points of interest were so that we didn’t waste any time. You even researched places to eat and the train / metro schedules so that the tour ran smoothly and was full of information about each interesting site.
We are so glad to have re-connected with you after our very first tour in October of 2011. The tours in 2011 were excellent and the tours in 2023 exceeded our expectations! Again, thank you for everything that you did to make our vacation a trip of a lifetime and one that we will never forget. We will be giving your name to all of our friends when they visit Rome!
